Dried corn seeds can be collected to grow more corn plants.
Picking and removing your own corn seeds from the cob enables you to save money by harvesting them yourself instead of buying them, and allows you to grow your favorite corn again and again. Although corn kernels are difficult to remove from the cob when corn is fresh, you can dry out the corn to remove the seeds more readily. Collect the picked corn seeds in a bowl for later planting.

Instructions
Things You'll Need:
- String or twine
- Bowl
- Grasp a whole ear of corn in your hand, and pull back all the green husks and silk.
- Tie a 12-inch piece of twine around the end of the corn, and hang the corn up so it can air-dry. Allow the corn to dry completely until it is hard.
- Take down the corn, and hold it over a bowl.
- Twist the corn back and forth in your hands, which will cause the corn kernels to pull out from the cob and fall into the bowl. Pick off any remaining corn seeds with your fingers, and drop them into the bowl.
